ICT Training Grants

The AHC-UK is now offering small grants to encourage ICT training for historical research, teaching and publication. In 2008-2009 £400 will be available initially, split into eight £50 grants. Four of these grants are earmarked for members of the AHC-UK. Four grants are available to post-graduate students (either research masters or doctoral) who do not need to be members of the aHC-UK to apply. Grants will be awarded on a first come first served basis provided the applications meet the minimum criteria below.

Criteria

  • The training must be concerned with ICT but need not be historical in its orientation e.g. web design
  • Training or workshop particpation, not conference attendance or paper presentation
  • Not for 'in-house' training
  • Only one application per member per annum
  • We will only fund one member per insitution to attend the same event

Application Process

  • Applicants should send an email to i.anderson@hatii.arts.gla.ac.uk a minimum of one month prior to the event, describing the training sought and how the grant will help them. Postgraduate applicants should request their supervisors to send an email in support of their application.
  • Applicants will receive the grant by cheque prior to the event where possible. Cheques can be made payable to the individual or direct to an institution of organiser.
